    Accelerator Program Overview

    The goal of the Nexus Mutual Accelerator is to create new startups and support existing ones that enhance the Nexus Mutual ecosystem. We’re particularly interested in businesses that create new cover products, distribute coverage, facilitate underwriting or enhance risk management for our ecosystem.

    Ecosystem participants could include (not exhaustive):

    • Agents
    • Brokers
    • Underwriters
    • Claims adjusters
    • Risk modeling
    • Data providers
    • Protocols natively including coverage
    • Protocols expanding upon the Nexus Mutual functionality

    Benefits for Participants

    Participants in the program will receive:

    Program Duration and Structure

    The accelerator program spans an initial 12-week intensive development period, followed by up to 12 months of ongoing support:

    1. Induction and Onboarding (Week 1): Participants get familiar with Nexus Mutual, the available resources, and what's expected during the program.
    2. Mentorship Phase (Weeks 2-8): Participants work closely with mentors to refine their strategic direction and product or service offerings.
    3. Development Begins (Weeks 9-12): Focused product development and implementation of strategies should begin.
    4. Extended Support (Up to 12 Months): Ongoing support to help participants build their teams, enter the market, and begin operating more independently within the Nexus Mutual ecosystem.

    Eligibility Criteria

    We are looking for individuals or teams with a strong track record and existing relevant experience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

    • Relevant Experience: Proven expertise directly relevant to the solution that you’re building. For a syndicate, this would include broking and underwriting expertise.
    • Skill Set: You should already have the specific skills that will be required for the success of your proposed initiative. Founders and teams without the existing skill set are not a good fit for this program.
    • Innovative Concept: A clear and compelling concept that addresses a current challenge or opportunity within the Nexus Mutual ecosystem.
    • Commitment: A willingness to engage fully with the program and drive their project forward over the course of the accelerator and beyond.

    Application and Selection Process

    1. Application Submission: Interested parties should apply through our online platform, providing details about their proposed initiative, experience, and how they plan to integrate with the Nexus Mutual ecosystem.
    2. Screening and Interviews: We review applications on a rolling basis and conduct interviews with promising candidates.
    3. Selection: We select participants based on their potential to impact the Nexus Mutual ecosystem and the strength of their team.
