Overview
Before brokers and agents can begin distributing Nexus Mutual cover at scale, they will need information confirming the legal compliance of the product they’ll be selling and details on how they can and cannot market a product. For this, we need someone to create a legal opinion.
Scope of the Grant
We’re looking for an attorney or firm to create a legal opinion that explores whether brokers/agents are able to distribute discretionary cover in New York and California. The legal opinion should outline what obligations brokers/agents have when distributing discretionary cover.
Desired Outcome
This grant should provide legal clarity for future brokers and agents looking to partner with the Mutual, which will help the Mutual onboard more distribution partners.
