Insurtech Incubators and Academic Partnerships

Overview

In the coming years, Nexus Mutual will need a community of members who can work on complex research problems. It’s difficult to attract a skilled audience of researchers and we’ll need to overcome this problem as the Mutual scales.

Scope of the Grant

We’re looking for an individual or small team to create academic partnerships and build a research incubator within the Nexus Mutual ecosystem through the use of well-placed sponsorships. This initiative should act as a funnel for hiring or partnering with academic researchers to fill knowledge gaps within our ecosystem.

Desired Outcome

This grant would reduce recruiter costs involved in the hiring process and help attract researchers who want to contribute to the Nexus Mutual ecosystem or build risk management startups within the Mutual.

Desired Qualifications

• Applicants should have broad DeFi/crypto experience
• Ideally, applicants should have:
• Relationships with academic audiences
• Past experience launching these type of programs
